Could private equity firms target Ericsson?

Private equity firms have been hungry for technology companies, and now a new report from Per Lindberg, an analyst with Dresdner Kleinwort, says Ericsson could be the target of a takeover bid by private equity firms if the stock market doesn't realign its valuation with that of Ericsson's fundamentals. "Ericsson may become subject to private equity firms' increasingly audacious forays," wrote Lindberg. The firm's analysis shows that no more than $7 billion of principal capital would be needed to launch a takeover.
