Sprint announced that it would release a software update for its HTC Mogul handset that would allow the phone to connect to its EV-DO rev. A network.

It will be the first handset to connect to the data network, which has been restricted to data cards for laptops up until this point.

Nokia has renewed its distributor deal with China's Postel for $2 billion worth of phones in 2008.

Last year's deal, however, was for $2.5 billion worth of phones.
