Disney postpones MVNO launch in UK indefinitely

We may already be seeing signs in the U.K. of what is to come in the U.S. MVNO market. The Walt Disney Group has postponed indefinitely the launch of its UK MVNO, citing increasing competition in the sector, according to a report in the U.K.'s The Sunday Telegraph. Disney signed an MVNO deal in April with O2 UK to offer Disney-branded services and had originally planned to roll out services at the end of the year. "Distribution outlets have been consolidating, and there is now increased competition," Disney said in a statement. Like the U.S. market, a host of MVNOs flooded the U.K. market after the success of Virgin Mobile. But they've experienced mixed success. Check out below what Helio is doing to boost competitiveness.
