Regional mobile carrier Dobson Communications posted strong growth in EBITA during its first financial quarter of 2007. The carrier netted $116 million EBITA, up from $92.5 million from Q1 2006. The carrier posted ARPU of $50.73, which makes for an 8.5 percent growth year-on-year. Dobson also acquired 12,900 postpaid customers and posted a churn rate of 1.86 percent. The carrier said it disconnected 4,350 "high roaming" and "unprofitable" customers.
