According to a recent report from Research and Markets, carriers stand to generate over $600 million in revenue from enterprise mobile email and PIM by 2009. The report rests on the assumption that of the estimated 650 million corporate email boxes worldwide, 35-40 percent of them could be mobilized, resulting in a market of about 260 million subscriptions. While the carriers stand to gain the most from the trend, mobile email infrastructure providers will continue to grow their revenues but at a much slower rate than the carriers.
