FCC agenda targets broadband plan goals, including data roaming

The FCC is wasting no time in moving forward on its national broadband plan. At its April 21 meeting, the commission will likely issue several inquiries and proposed rulemakings on key policy objectives in the plan. Among them is a proposed rulemaking that will look into how to make mobile data roaming available to customers outside of their respective service areas. The FCC is also going to look into, among other things, changes to the Universal Service Fund to make it more focused on broadband access. Article
