FT, Warner Music ink mobile content deal

France Telecom (FT) inked a deal with Warner Music to distribute Warner's music catalogue through its broadband and wireless services in France, the UK, Belgium, the Netherlands, Poland, Portugal, Romania, Slovakia, Spain, and Switzerland. The deal will give France Telecom's landline and wireless subscribers access to ringtones, full-length music tracks, music videos, and other content. The two companies also forged a non-exclusive partnership to jointly develop new music products and services for FT's wireless and landline broadband services. Last year, Vodafone and Sony Music Entertainment signed a similar mobile content deal. No financial details of the deal were released.
