General Wireless teams with 3 for PC-to-mobile MMS

Swedish messaging provider General Wireless and mobile operator 3 have teamed up to launch 3PC Message, a PC-to-mobile MMS service. 3PC Message is an eMMS solution that integrates PC-based email with mobile text and multimedia messaging. The service is compatible with Microsoft Outlook but can also be used by subscribers with standalone Windows client software. Users can download the software for free and are only charged for sending MMS and SMS messages. The number of PC messaging users is expected to soar from 490,000 in 2004 to over 12 million by 2010.
