GSA: Nearly 200 LTE devices exist today

The number of LTE-enabled devices worldwide has been steadily climbing, and there are now 197 LTE devices announced by 48 manufacturers, according to a new report from the Global mobile Suppliers Association. The GSA said that the roster of devices includes 11 tablets and 27 smartphones, in addition to routers, modems, PC cards and modules. According to the GSA, the number of LTE smartphones, including operator and frequency variants, has more than tripled over the past three months. Interestingly, the report found that 118 of the LTE devices also support HSPA technologies. Release
