GSMA: 4 billion wireless connections worldwide

The GSMA announced that there are now four billion mobile connections in the world, according to Wireless Intelligence, the GSMA's market intelligence unit. The GSMA said the world will reach six billion connections by 2013, and said the growth is primarily related to integration of mobile into previously unconnected devices and subscriber additions in emerging markets.
