Helio launches Samsung handset, Heat

MVNO Helio debuted a new handset from Samsung, dubbed "Heat," which boasts a lower selling price ($150) than its cousin the Drift and touch-sensitive controls. Heat also includes Bluetooth, 136MB of internal memory, 1.3 megapixel camera and compatibility with Helio's whole suite of GPS apps. The Heat will also come packed with streamlined access to popular social bookmarking site Digg.com and online encyclopedia, Wikipedia.org on the Helio WAP deck later this month. Digg is one of those much hyped and overvalued Web 2.0 properties, but it could bring a sizeable audience to the WAP deck if the interface works as well as its online version.
