LG raises handset sales goal

South Korean handset maker LG said it expects a Q4 operating profit margin of around 8 percent for its mobile handsets, which it expects to sell 80 million of this year alone. The handset maker recently announced that is has sold 15 million Chocolates to date. Next year LG has forecasted handset sales of 100 million. LG is also looking to boost domestic sales of its handsets, including a goal of selling 500,000 Viewty sales in Korea next year. The company has also announced plans to launch a new handset that will replace its Shine phone.
