Wholesale network provider LightSquared formed an Emergency Rapid Response Communications Team it will deploy throughout North America to help first responders and public-safety agencies deal with emergency situations, such as hurricanes. Although LightSquared has yet to deploy its terrestrial LTE network, the company will use its SkyTerra satellite services to assist the first responders and public-safety agencies. Release
