MCI launches wholesale VoIP

MCI this week launched a wholesale VoIP service that features both carrier IP termination and a SIP Gateway. The service is called the MCI VoIP Enablement Service and was launched almost three months ahead of MCI's original schedule. MCI's wholesale VoIP services will be targeted at existing wholesale customers and Internet service providers. The VoIP Enablement Services include local service functionality, such as E911, directory listings, and access to a line identification database. It also is compliant with local number portability requirements.
