According to a recent In-Stat study, 2005 will be the fourth consecutive year that shipments of Bluetooth enabled devices have more than doubled. The study estimates nearly 316 million Bluetooth units will be shipped this year. The figure could climb to 866 million by 2009. Bluetooth's increasing popularity in cell phones will see the technology integrated elsewhere, including, laptops, music headsets, automobiles and portable music players.
