According to a new report from the Yankee Group, Mobile Virtual Network Operators (MVNOs) will generate $10.7 billion in wireless service revenue by 2010. MVNOs will account for a total subscriber base of 29 million customers. Tier-1 MVNOs will dominate the market, accounting for the majority of the revenue and claiming 24 million subscribers. The second tier will be comprised of medium-sized MVNOs accounting for 2.5 million subscribers. A dozen or so small MVNOs will make up the third-tier market accounting for 2.5 million customers.
