According to a new study from Research and Markets, the market for WLAN network gear and services is expected to grow at an annual rate of 30 percent to $5 billion by the end of 2006. The report claims that WLAN equipment sales have grown 60 percent from last year. WLAN enterprise sales are expected to grow 63 percent this year, while sales to the home and SoHo markets are expected to grow 103 percent. The global market for WiFi security is expected to grow from $41.1 million in 2002 to $278.7 million in 2009.
