Microsoft adds support for WPA2, WPS to Windows XP

Microsoft released a new update to Windows XP that adds support for wireless security standards WPA2 and WPS. The update adds built-in access for WPA2, including AES support and some forms of caching and pre-authentication. The update also adds support for WPS, a secure method for provisioning information via a WiFi hotspot.
