According to a new report from anti-virus company Kaspersky Lab, after two years mobile viruses have attained the same levels of penetration that took 20 years on the desktop. Awareness for mobile malware is also reportedly far behind that for PCs. Kaspersky apparently adds an average of 10 aimed at the mobile platform to its database every week. In the past year reports like these, especially those from an anti-virus company, have been dismissed as hype. Any thoughts?
