Modeo picks Penthera to power DVB-H network

Mobile TV operator Modeo announced a major commercial contract with a relatively unknown vendor to power its DVB-H mobile TV network. Modeo chose Penthera Technologies to provide a mobile broadcast control and data system for Modeo's network operations center in Pittsburgh and the interactive client software powering Modeo's first handset. Penthera says it has developed interactive technology for DVB-H that allows mobile TV operators to embed the equivalent of hyperlinks into their broadcasts for advertising purposes.
