Motorola may buy Siemens Com

Motorola is eying a takeover of Siemens Com, Siemens' largest unit, according to a German newspaper. Motorola has repeatedly shown interest in purchasing Siemens' mobile network division, but Siemens wants Motorola to take its entire Com division, which includes several loss-making businesses. Mobile networks is the most successful part of Siemens Com, which also makes equipment for fixed-line telecoms companies.
