MVNO Amp'd Mobile aims to sell entertainment

MVNO Amp'd Mobile plans to rethink the wireless reseller idea, focusing on mobile entertainment and content rather than voice. When the MVNO launches service later this year, Amp'd will offer mobile video, sports, concerts, and other live events produced exclusively for the MVNO's subscribers. Amp'd Mobile hopes to offer high-customizable handsets and a mobile data experience closer to a PC than most cell phones. Amp'd will launch its service using Verizon Wireless' EV-DO 3G network.
