NextWave, Huawei trial mobile WiMAX

NextWave Broadband, the manufacturer subsidiary of NextWave Wireless, joined forces with Huawei Technologies to conduct interoperability testing of NextWave's mobile WiMAX chipsets and Huawei's WiMAX infrastructure gear.

In addition, the two firms are also evaluating Huawei's commercial WiMAX equipment over NextWave's trial network in Henderson, Nev. Key features being tested include handover, mobility and enhanced services such as VOIP and video streaming.
