Carrier O2 and NTL Broadcast announced the first channels for O2's new mobile TV service. The 16 channels will include the Cartoon Network, CNN, Discovery, Sky Sports, and Sky Travel. The two companies will conduct performance testing of their new TV system in July and launch a limited trial with O2 subscribers in September using the Nokia 7710 handset. The trial will use the DVB-H broadcast standard, which was designed for mobile TV reception.
