Palm buys Garnet code from PalmOS/Access

Last September, Access acquired PalmSource for a cool $324 million, now PalmSource's distant relative company, Palm has inked a deal with Access Systems Americas (formerly PalmSource) for the OS Garnet code. The licensing rights will cost Palm $44 million. The deal gives Palm the right to modify the Garnet code for its devices, like the Palm Treo and others.
