BARCELONA, Spain--The annual Mobile World Congress trade show here is a reliable location for a range of new device and handset announcements. Vendors from across the spectrum vie for attention and hype via their latest shiny gadgets. Sony Ericsson, HTC, Samsung, LG and others were among those attempting to generate interest with new devices.
