The phones of Mobile World Congress 2012

htc one familyBARCELONA, Spain--Attendees of the Mobile World Congress trade show here were deluged with a flood of new handsets. Vendors ranging from Nokia (NYSE:NOK) to HTC to ZTE announced new wares, ranging from the Android variety to the Windows Phone persuasion, and stretching from the absolute high end of the market to the sub-$100 area. The news yet again reflects the white-hot market for mobile phones and vendors' intense desire to stand out from the crowd. (To be clear, this list is not exhaustive--in fact putting together a list of all the phones unveiled at Mobile World Congress would be just that: Exhaustive!--but it is a look at some of the higher-profile gadgets intended to make a splash or statement.) Click here to check out the phones from MWC.
