Mobile push email developer Visto announced $70 million in an oversubscribed financing round that has been anticipated since September. The company's eighth round of funding remains open with an authorized $92.5 million cap in place. DFJ ePlanet Ventures led the round and was joined by Rustic Canyon, Oak Investment Partners, Meritech Capital Partners, Draper Fisher Juvertson, VantagePoint Venture Partners and Allegis Capital. The company said it is still in talks with other potential investors. Visto plans to use the funds to expand its market penetration worldwide and to develop and deploy other mobile technologies. Visto's mobile push email solution is available through Vodafone, Rogers Wireless and Sprint Nextel.
