Qualcomm announced plans to invest €100M in European wireless companies, especially those specializing in services related to 3G wireless broadband. The company plans to focus on small- to medium-sized startups that run the whole gambit: mobile applications, platform software developers, handset components, network infrastructure and core technologies providers. On top of the money, Qualcomm plans to offer the startups strategic advice, standards support and help getting their products traction in the market.
