Report: Apple unlikely to start shipping iWatch until early 2015

Apple (NASDAQ: AAPL) is expected to announce its first wearable device at its Sept. 9 media event, but according to a new Re/code report it won't be shipping the gadget until a few months after that, likely in early 2015. The report, citing unnamed sources, said that that there is no firm shipping date for the gadget, which many have dubbed the iWatch. The report noted that, if the device doesn't ship until next year, Apple will miss the holiday shopping season. The device is expected to have a sapphire screen and be focused primarily on health and fitness monitoring. Apple declined to comment, the report said. Article
