According to a report from Compete, Virgin Mobile and Helio best their MVNO cohorts when it comes to "effectively utilizing the Web to drive bran awareness and sales." The report also found that most of the niche MVNOs like Disney Mobile and Mobile ESPN have not translated their brand awareness into online shoppers. Interestingly, the number of online researchers for Disney, Amp'd and Mobile ESPN is disproportionately lower than their overall brand awareness. More than 40 percent of those surveyed were aware of Mobile ESPN, but it had the fewest number of unique online researchers when compared to other MVNOs.
