Report: Phone makers need to target diversity

According to a report from Gartner, the majority of mobile devices are designed by men for men in the West and aged between 20- and 64-years-old, however, that demographic makes up a mere 32 percent of the global population. The research firm also predicted that by 2015, people will customize 90 percent of the information, tools, and other resources they use so device makers should start targeting a diverse base of users from cultural, ethnic and gender perspectives.
