RFID experts refute virus claims

AIM Global, the trade association for automatic identification and mobility, refuted the main findings of researchers that suggested RFID tags are susceptible to viruses. "Many of the basic assumptions in the paper overlook a number of fundamental design features necessary in automatic data collection systems and good database design," said AIM Global President Dan Mullen. Of course, the rest of the RFID world is reacting strongly to the virus assertions. Those disagreeing with the research findings say the research assumes an architectural design not in use today.
