Rhode Island tops state list for WiFi investors

According to a recent report from CDW Government, Rhode Island is the number one investor in WiFi technology. The state's 802.11 wireless investment profile came in 147 percent higher than the average state's. Rhode Island committed investments to WiFi "at all levels of government." After the lead investor comes "early investor" states like Ohio, Colorado, Utah, California, Oregon, Washington and Wyoming with investment portfolios 43 percent to 82 percent higher than the average. States and municipalities will increasingly look to WiFi technologies and schemas like muni-WiFi and mesh networking to enhance public safety communications.
