Rumor Mill: Is Apple planning a video iPod?

According to a new set of rumors, Apple Computer is planning to launch a video iPod that can play many different types of multimedia content. The iTunes software now lets users play videos, movie trailers, and other video content home movies, spurring many to speculate that the iPod will soon add this functionality. The iTunes store now sells a handful of music videos. Record label sources claim that Apple has been in talks to sell a much wider range of music videos through iTunes, possibly as early as this fall. No further details about the video iPod rumors are available.
