T-Mobile USA will launch a version of Huawei's MediaPad Android tablet in the fourth quarter, according to the blog TMoNews.

The blog, which has a strong track record of predicting T-Mobile device launches, received images of the T-Mobile version of the tablet, which was first unveiled in June. The blog posited that the device could be announced in October at the CTIA Enterprise & Applications conference.

A T-Mobile spokeswoman declined to comment and a Huawei spokeswoman did not immediately respond to a request for comment. However, Huawei said earlier this month that it intends to release the MediaPad in the U.S. market by year-end.

The blog's breakdown of the specifications for the device match up perfectly with those Huawei gave in June. The device runs version 3.2 of Google's (NASDAQ:GOOG) Android Honeycomb platform and sports an HSPA+ 14.4 Mbps connection and a dual-core 1.2 GHz Qualcomm (NASDAQ:QCOM) processor. The tablet supports Adobe Flash 10.3 and features 1080p HD video capture, a 5-megapixel rear-facing camera, a 1.3-megapixel front-facing camera and six hours of battery life.

T-Mobile recently announced the Huawei-made Sonic 4G Mobile HotSpot for its HSPA+ 42 network, providing access for up to five Wi-Fi-enabled devices. The gadget also comes with an SD memory card slot capable of holding up to 32 GB. T-Mobile said the hotspot will be available in October but did not provide specific pricing or availability.

Huawei has been steadily increasing its presence in mobile devices this year, and not just with Tier 2 flat-rate players MetroPCS (NYSE:PCS) and Leap Wireless' (NASDAQ:LEAP) Cricket subsidiary. AT&T Mobility (NYSE:T) launched the entry-level Huawei Impulse 4G Android smartphone on Sept. 18 for $30 with a two-year contract.
