Rumor Mill: Treo 670 a Windows phone?

Pictures and videos of a device many claim is the new Treo 670 smart phone are all over the Web. According to the rumors, the 670 runs on Windows Mobile and is a CDMA device. The device, apparently manufactured by HTC, includes EV-DO support, Bluetooth, and a 1.3 megapixel digital camera. Some insiders claim the device is a fake, while others claim that the images and videos look authentic.

If these pictures of the Treo 670 are real -- and it is a Windows device -- this would confirm months of rumors that Palm is moving away from the Palm OS. Palm has supposedly been considering a jump to Linux or Windows for some time, but now it looks like they have already embraced other platforms. If Palm has decided to adopt other smart phone platforms, the days of the Palm OS may be numbered.
