Rumor Mill: Verizon Wireless to launch live mobileTV

According to a report in The Washington Post, Verizon Wireless plans to launch a live television service to mobile phones early next year over a network built by Crown Castle International. Verizon Wireless already sends on-demand video clips of news and entertainment to some of its mobile phone users. Mobile phone tower operator Crown Castle plans to cover the top 30 US markets with a live television network for Verizon Wireless. QUALCOMM is also building a live television network for mobile phone users set to launch next October.
