Russia trials WiMAX with Aperto

Aperto Networks' PacketMAX products are set to power a large trial of WiMAX installations across Russia in conjunction with nearly a dozen service providers in various regions of the country during the next three months. Aperto reseller Avalcom is facilitating the tests in the greater Moscow region, as well as Siberia, the Ural region and Central Russia. The trials will span various end user and vertical markets including residential, corporate and public safety. The trials will also offer service over a spectrum of geographies from dense urban environs to areas with no cable or fiber infrastructure at all.
