Samsung banks on 1 million GalaxyTab sales this year

Samsung Electronics expects to sell 1 million of its GalaxyTab tablet devices this year, and is planning more tablets for next year. All Tier 1 U.S. wireless carriers plan to launch the 7-inch tablet, which runs Google's Android platform, later this month. Apple's (NASDAQ:AAPL) iPad continues to dominate the emerging tablet market, capturing 95 percent of the market in the third quarter, according to research firm Strategy Analytics. J.K.
