Samsung gives Verizon Wireless the Gleam phone

Last week Verizon Wireless unveiled its holiday lineup of handsets, now the carrier is announcing a deal with Samsung for its latest handset the SCH-U700, called Gleam. The phone features all the standard capabilities: EV-DO, V Cast, Bluetooth, 2-megapixel camera, speakerphone and expandable memory slot. The carrier said the phone has a new feature too: "new living wallpaper." The press release states that this "allows customers to easily see the phone's status with either a city or country view that changes with the time of day." The handset is available for $149 with a two-year contract.
