Samsung admitted its guilt Wednesday in a price-fixing scheme that led to increased computer prices. Samsung will pay $300 million in fines in accordance with its October plea deal. The company joins Hynix Semiconductor and Infineon Technologies, which have already admitted their parts in the conspiracy. Hynix has agreed to pay $185 million and Infineon agreed to pay $160 million. The three companies are some of the largest makers of DRAM chips that are used to store information in computers and other devices.
