Softbank adds most subs in Japan

The smallest carrier in Japan has drawn the greatest number of net new subscribers in May: Softbank Mobile (formerly Vodafone KK) added 162,400 net new subscribers during the month. That is the first time Softbank beat out its rival since such comparison reports began in January 1996. KDDI reported 138,500 net new subs in May, while NTT DoCoMo, added 82,700.
