Speedus files lawsuit against Alltel

After bringing a suit against Verizon Wireless last month, Speedus is now going after Alltel for the same allegations, patent infringement for technologies used to deliver television to wireless users, while simultaneously transmitting analog and digital signals in the same bandwidth. Speedus owns two fast-food restaurants and a medical technology firm. The company also reported a first-quarter loss of eight cents a share.
