SPOTLIGHT: A mobile phone designed for women?

Boost Mobile and Motorola launched a "female-only" handset, the Motorola i835 (photo), which comes in purple and white. It features "vibrant disco lights" that move to the beat of MIDI ringtones and also sports some stenciled leaves and vines, etc. What's more the handset maker has covered the device in an antimicrobial coating to limit the spread of disease. Disco-dancing, hand stenciling germophobes? I am not sure if today's female population would agree with this description. I thought Motorola already had this market tied up with the pink RAZR (photo). Blog
