Palm CEO Ed Colligan spent the better part of last year's 3GSM conference touting PalmOS' superiority to its rival Windows Mobile OS, but at the same time he was secretly meeting with his nemesis and forging the venture that led to yesterday's launch of the new Windows Mobile Treo. The initial meeting went down at a nondescript Cannes Comfort Inn not too far from the main conference center. The rival factions took separate cabs.
