SPOTLIGHT: AT&T to offer cell phone + Internet bundle


AT&T, post-BellSouth, is planning to offer a cell phone service plus Internet service bundle--a new take on the landline plus Internet service package. The company is also trialling wVoIP handsets that run over WiFi in the home, as opposed to traditional landline service. CEO Ed Whitacre also stressed the importance of advertising for the company's bottomline, including mobile advertising through its AT&T Wireless and Cingular services. Article (WSJ sub. req.)
