Highlighting many US consumers' dissatisfaction with mobile operators, Cingular Wireless has been kicked out of the Better Business Bureau of Upstate New York for its poor handling of customer complaints. Membership in the association is contingent on the company answering any and all complaints. Cingular had 20 unresolved or unanswered complaints and a total of 200 for the area in the past three years. The incident is more symbolic than anything else, and the BBB has previously stated that mobile carriers have more complaints filed against them than any other industry. Article
