The Enhanced Wireless Consortium includes such WiFi notables as Atheros, Broadcom, Intel and Marvell, but conspicuously lacks Airgo Networks. Airgo's technology was widely considered to be the backbone of the 802.11n standard. The EWC's initiative could be an effort to help WiFi chip vendors who haven't been able to successfully compete with Airgo's technology. Blog
