EarthLink said last week it will franchise its muni-WiFi model to wireless ISPs and operators, despite the fact it hasn't proven its muni-WiFi model is a successful one. In an effort to build out its footprint, the ISP says it will share its WiFi architecture plans, offer volume pricing for equipment and services and share EarthLink products and support infrastructure if licensees agree to a roaming agreement with EarthLink.
